H.F. 2046 Section 1. Section 483A.24, Code 2016, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 14A. A person may fish on a private lake 3 or pond without a license if the person first obtains consent 4 to fish on the lake or pond from the owner or lessee of the 5 premises on which the private lake or pond is located. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill allows a resident or nonresident to fish on a 10 private lake or pond without a license if the person first 11 obtains consent to fish on the lake or pond from the owner or 12 lessee of the premises on which the private lake or pond is 13 located.
