H.F. 2001 Section 1. Section 8A.110, subsection 1, Code 2016, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. There is created a state employee suggestion system 3 for the purpose of encouraging state employees to develop and 4 submit ideas which will reduce costs and increase efficiency in 5 state government and which will make monetary and other awards 6 to state employees whose cost reduction ideas are adopted 7 under the system. For purposes of this section, suggestions 8 to reduce costs and increase efficiency include suggestions to 9 stop waste or fraud in state government. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 Code section 8A.110, concerning the state employee 14 suggestion system, is amended to provide that suggestions 15 to stop waste or fraud in state government are specifically 16 eligible for the system. 17 -1- LSB 5177YH (3) 86 ec/sc 1/ 1
