a

which

is
reconstructed
or
specially

constructed
vehicles
built
to
resemble
a
model
year
1948

vehicle
or
older,
or
which
was
originally
manufactured
with
a

front
bumper
that
sits
twenty-four
inches
from
the
ground
or
7
less,
other
than
a
truck
registered
for
more
than
five
tons,
a
8
motorcycle,
or
a
truck
tractor,
may
display
one
registration
9
plate
on
the
rear
of
the
vehicle
if
the
other
registration
10
plate
issued
to
the
vehicle
is
carried
in
the
vehicle
at
all
11
times
when
the
vehicle
is
operated
on
a
public
highway.

inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

Generally,
a
motor
vehicle
is
required
to
display
two
16
registration
plates,
with
one
on
the
front
of
the
vehicle
17
and
one
on
the
rear
of
the
vehicle.
Current
law
allows
18
motor
vehicles
which
are
model
year
1948
or
older,
or
are
19
reconstructed
or
specially
constructed
to
resemble
a
model
year
20
1948
vehicle
or
older,
to
display
only
one
registration
plate
21
on
the
rear
of
the
vehicle
if
the
other
registration
plate
22
issued
to
the
vehicle
is
carried
in
the
vehicle
at
all
times
23
when
the
vehicle
is
operated
on
a
public
highway.

This
bill
broadens
that
exception
to
include
any
motor
25
vehicle
originally
manufactured
with
a
front
bumper
that
sits
26
24
inches
from
the
ground
or
less.
27
The
scheduled
fine
for
incorrect
display
of
registration
28
plates
in
violation
of
Code
section
321.37
is
$20.
