to

board
of
regents
and
the
department
of

also

a

force
to

requiring
collegiate
campus
cafeterias

to
conform
to
the
American
heart
association’s
2010
dietary

guidelines.
Campus
cafeterias
addressed
in
the
plan
shall

include
cafeterias
located
at
the
university
of
northern

Iowa,
Iowa
state
university,
the
university
of
Iowa,
and
all

community
colleges.

task
forces
shall
submit

plans
and

implementation
timelines
to
the
general
assembly
by
January

This
bill
relates
to
the
adoption
of
the
American
heart

association’s
2010
dietary
guidelines
by
cafeterias
located
at

the
capitol
complex
and
public
collegiate
institutions.

The
bill
requires
the
department
of
administrative

services
to
convene
a
task
force
that
will
propose
a
plan
and
26
implementation
timeline
requiring
all
cafeterias
at
the
capitol
27
complex
to
conform
to
the
American
heart
association’s
2010

dietary
guidelines.
The
bill
also
requires
the
state
board
of
29
regents
and
the
department
of
education
to
convene
a
task
force

that
will
propose
a
plan
and
implementation
timeline
requiring

collegiate

cafeterias
to
conform
to
the

guidelines.
Campus
