Sandra
“Sandy”
Greiner

elected

Representatives
in
1992
and
over
the

two
decades
has
served
in
both
the
Senate
and

the
House
of
Representatives;
and

WHEREAS,
Senator
Greiner
is
a
lifelong
farmer
and

an
advocate
for
agriculture,
having
served
as
the
8
president
of
American
Agri-Women,
a
founding
board
9
member
and
executive
committee
member
of
the
Daughters
10
of
American
Agriculture,
an
executive
committee
member
11
of
the
Agriculture
Council
of
America,
Animal
Industry
12
Task
Force,
and
a
member
of
the
Farm
Bureau,
the
Iowa
13
Pork
Producers
Association,
the
Iowa
Corn
Growers
14
Association,
and
the
Iowa
Soybean
Association;
and

WHEREAS,
Senator
Greiner
has
been
widely
recognized

for
her
advocacy
for
agriculture,
including
by

receiving
the
Governor’s
Outstanding
Volunteer
Award,

being
named
a
“Friend
of
Biotechnology”
by
the
Iowa

Biotechnology
Association,
being
named
Legislator
of

the
Year
by
the
Iowa
Agribusiness
Association,
being

named
State
Legislator
of
the
Year
by
the
Biotechnology

Industry
Organization
for
her
efforts
on
behalf
of

agricultural
biotechnology,
being
named
National
