S.F. 234 Section 1. Section 92.17, subsection 1, Code 2013, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. Any part-time, seasonal, occasional, or volunteer 3 work for nonprofit organizations generally recognized as 4 educational, charitable, religious, or community service in 5 nature. For purposes of this subsection, “seasonal work” means 6 work at a summer camp. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill provides that state child labor requirements 9 administered by the labor commissioner under Code chapter 92 10 do not prohibit seasonal work for nonprofit organizations 11 generally recognized as educational, charitable, religious, or 12 community service in nature.
