amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

h.
A
procedure
for
the
immediate

notification
of
the
parents
or
guardians
of
all
students

directly
involved
in
a
reported
incident
of
harassment
or

bullying.
The
procedure
may
include
an
exception
to
the

notification
requirement
if
a
school
official
reasonably
7
believes
notification
would
subject
a
student
to
abuse
or
8
neglect.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
school
antiharassment
and
antibullying

policies
to
include
a
procedure
for
the
immediate
notification
14
of
the
parents
or
guardians
of
all
students
directly
involved
15
in
a
reported
incident
of
harassment
or
bullying.
The

procedure
may
include
an
exception
to
the
notification
17
requirement
if
a
school
official
reasonably
believes
18
notification
would
subject
a
student
to
abuse
or
neglect.
