Section
257.11,
subsection
2,
paragraph
c,
Code

2014,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

c.
Pupils
attending
class
for
all
or
a
substantial
portion
3
of
a
school
day
pursuant
to
a
whole
grade
sharing
agreement
4
executed
under
sections
282.10
through
282.12
shall
be
eligible
5
for
supplementary
weighting
pursuant
to
this
subsection
.
A
6
school
district
which
executes
a
whole
grade
sharing
agreement
7
and
which
adopts
a
resolution
jointly
with
other
affected
8
boards
to
study
the
question
of
undergoing
a
reorganization
9
or
dissolution
to
take
effect
on
or
before
July
1,
2014
2019
,
10
shall
receive
a
weighting
of
one-tenth
of
the
percentage
of
11
the
pupil’s
school
day
during
which
the
pupil
attends
classes
12
in
another
district,
attends
classes
taught
by
a
teacher
who
13
is
jointly
employed
under
section
280.15
,
or
attends
classes
14
taught
by
a
teacher
who
is
employed
by
another
school
district.

A
district
shall
be
eligible
for
supplementary
weighting
16
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
for
a
maximum
of
three
years.
17
Receipt
of
supplementary
weighting
for
a
second
and
third
year
18
shall
be
conditioned
upon
submission
of
information
resulting
19
from
the
study
to
the
school
budget
review
committee
indicating
20
progress
toward
the
objective
of
reorganization
on
or
before
21
July
1,
2014
2019
.

This
bill
makes
changes
relating
to
whole
grade
sharing

incentives
for
school
districts.

The
bill
amends
a
current
Code
provision
that
allows
28
school
districts
that
execute
a
whole
grade
sharing
agreement
29
and
adopt
a
resolution
to
study
the
effect
of
undergoing
30
a
reorganization
or
dissolution
to
receive
supplementary
31
weighting
of
one-tenth
of
a
percentage
of
a
student’s
school
32
day
during
which
the
student
attends
classes
in
another
33
district,
is
taught
by
a
teacher
jointly
employed,
or
attends
34
classes
taught
by
a
teacher
employed
by
another
district.
The

extends
the
time
period
to
July
1,
2019,
during
which

the
reorganization
or
dissolution
must
take
place.
This

supplementary
weighting
is
available
for
a
total
of
three

years.
However,
the
second
and
third
year
of
supplementary

weighting
funding
is
dependent
upon
the
school
district’s

progress
toward
reorganization.
