S.F. 137 Section 1. Section 2.40, subsection 1, paragraph a, 1 subparagraph (2), Code 2013, is amended to read as follows: 2 (2) The member shall pay the premium for the plan selected 3 on the same basis as a full-time state employee excluded from 4 collective bargaining as provided in chapter 20 . However, the 5 member shall pay at least twenty percent of the total premium 6 for the plan selected. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill provides that members of the general assembly who 9 become a member of the state group insurance plan for employees 10 of the state established under Code chapter 509A shall pay 11 at least 20 percent of the total premium cost for the plan 12 selected. 13 -1- LSB 1779XS (3) 85 ec/sc 1/ 1
