Section 322A.1, subsection 11, Code 2013, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 11. “Termination or noncontinuance” includes a reduction 3 material alteration of the geographic area of a community. 4 EXPLANATION 5 This bill relates to the termination or noncontinuance of 6 an agreement or franchise between a motor vehicle franchiser 7 and a motor vehicle dealer. The bill amends the scope of the 8 definition of “termination or noncontinuance” of a franchise 9 from including a reduction of the geographic area of a 10 franchisee’s area of responsibility to include the material 11 alteration of the geographic area of a franchisee’s area of 12 responsibility. 13 -1- LSB 1764YC (2) 85 ad/nh 1/ 1
