shall
direct

alliance

Moneys
allocated
under
this
lettered
paragraph
may
be

used
by
the
early
childhood
Iowa
state
board
for
the
purpose
of

skills
development
and
support
for
ongoing
training
of
staff.

However,
except
as
otherwise
provided
in
this
subsection,

moneys
shall
not
be
used
for
additional
staff
or
for
the

reimbursement
of
staff.

As
a
condition
of
receiving
moneys
appropriated
in

this
subsection,
each
early
childhood
Iowa
area
board
shall

report
to
the
early
childhood
Iowa
state
board
progress
on
27
each
of
the
local
indicators
approved
by
the
area
board.
Each
28
early
childhood
Iowa
area
board
must
also
submit
an
annual
29
budget
for
the
area’s
comprehensive
school
ready
children
30
grant
developed
for
providing
services
for
children
from
birth
31
through
five
years
of
age,
and
provide
other
information
32
specified
by
the
early
childhood
Iowa
state
board,
including
33
budget
amendments
as
needed.
The
early
childhood
Iowa
state
34
board
shall
establish
a
submission
deadline
for
the
annual

any
budget
amendments
that
allow
a
reasonable
period

of
time
for
preparation
by
the
early
childhood
Iowa
area
boards

and
for
review

approval

Iowa
state
board.
In

addition,
each
early
childhood
Iowa
area
board
must
continue
to
5
comply
with
reporting
provisions
and
other
requirements
adopted
6
by
the
early
childhood
Iowa
state
board
in
implementing
section

256I.9.

Of
the
amount
appropriated
in
this
subsection
for

deposit
in
the
school
ready
children
grants
account
of
the

early
childhood
Iowa
fund,

efforts

Moneys
allocated
