H.F. 574 Section 1. REPEAL. Section 422.12M, Code 2013, is repealed. 1 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 2 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 3 Sec. 3. RETROACTIVE APPLICABILITY. This Act applies 4 retroactively to January 1, 2013, for tax years beginning on 5 or after that date. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill repeals Code section 422.12M, which requires 8 taxpayers to indicate on their tax returns the presence or 9 absence of health care coverage for their dependent children 10 and to apply for Medicaid or the hawk-i program if they meet 11 certain income eligibility standards.
