H.F. 451 Section 1. Section 142C.8, Code 2013, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 12. A procurement organization shall 3 utilize discretion and sensitivity with respect to the 4 circumstances, views, and beliefs of the family of a donor or 5 prospective donor in all contacts with family members regarding 6 an anatomical gift. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill includes in the rights and duties of procurement 9 organizations, a requirement that a procurement organization 10 utilize discretion and sensitivity with respect to the 11 circumstances, views, and beliefs of the family of a donor or 12 prospective donor in all contacts with family members regarding 13 an anatomical gift.
