H.F. 447 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 906.15A Early parole —— 1 cooperation. 2 In a case involving the use of a dangerous weapon by a person 3 who was a juvenile when the offense was committed, the board 4 of parole shall consider the person for early parole or work 5 release if the person cooperated in the prosecution of the 6 supplier of the dangerous weapon. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill relates to consideration for early parole or work 9 release. 10 Under the bill, in a case involving the use of a dangerous 11 weapon by a person who was a juvenile when the offense was 12 committed, the board of parole shall consider the person for 13 early parole or work release if the person cooperated in the 14 prosecution of the supplier of the dangerous weapon. 15 “Dangerous weapon” is defined in Code section 702.7. 16 -1- LSB 2230YH (2) 85 jm/nh 1/ 1
