H.F. 426 Section 1. Section 808B.3, Code 2013, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 6. A felony offense involving human 3 trafficking in violation of chapter 710A. 4 EXPLANATION 5 This bill relates to intercepting communications involving 6 human trafficking. 7 Under the bill, the attorney general may prepare an 8 application for a court order authorizing the interception of 9 wire, oral, or electronic communications involving a felony 10 human trafficking offense under Code chapter 710A. The 11 court, subject to Code chapter 808B, may grant such an order 12 authorizing the interception of oral, wire, or electronic 13 communications by special state agents of the department of 14 public safety when the interception of such communications 15 may provide evidence of a felony offense involving human 16 trafficking. 17 -1- LSB 2380YH (3) 85 jm/nh 1/ 1
