H.F. 362 Section 1. APPROPRIATION —— SPECIALTY RESPONSE 1 TEAMS. There is appropriated from the general fund of the 2 state to the division of homeland security and emergency 3 management division of the department of public defense for the 4 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, and ending June 30, 2013, 5 the following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be 6 used for the purposes designated: 7 For maintaining and supporting those specialty teams 8 throughout the state that are allocated federal homeland 9 security grant program funds for the fiscal year beginning July 10 1, 2012, and ending June 30, 2013: 11 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 571,956 12 The division shall allocate the moneys appropriated in this 13 section according to the maintenance level budgets submitted by 14 the specialty teams for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, 15 and ending June 30, 2013. 16 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated in this 17 section that remain unencumbered or unobligated at the close of 18 the fiscal year shall not revert but shall remain available for 19 expenditure for the purposes designated until the close of the 20 succeeding fiscal year. 21 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 22 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 23 EXPLANATION 24 This bill appropriates moneys for FY 2012-2013 to the 25 division of homeland security and emergency management 26 division of the department of public defense for maintaining 27 and supporting specialty response teams that receive federal 28 homeland security grant program funds. 29 The bill takes effect upon enactment. 30 -1- LSB 2117YH (2) 85 jm/sc 1/ 1
