boards

require
the

complete

least
one
hour

continuing
education

vital
statistics
records
prior
to
every
renewal
of
the

professional’s
license:

The
board
of
medicine,
for
persons
licensed
to
practice
8
medicine
and
surgery
or
osteopathic
medicine
and
surgery
9
pursuant
to
chapter
148.

The
board
of
nursing,
for
a
registered
nurse
or
advanced
11
registered
nurse
practitioner
licensed
pursuant
to
chapter
152.

The
board
of
physician
assistants,
for
physician

assistants
licensed
pursuant
to
chapter
148C.

EXPLANATION
15
This
bill
requires
the
board
of
medicine,
the
board
of

nursing,
and
the
board
of
physician
assistants
to
require
17
medical
doctors,
doctors
of
osteopathy,
registered
nurses,
18
advanced
registered
nurse
practitioners,
and
physician
19
assistants
to
complete
at
least
one
hour
of
continuing
20
education
in
vital
statistics
records
prior
to
each
renewal
of
21
the
professional’s
license.
