1.
Section
234.12A,
Code
2014,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION

The
department
of
human
services’

requirements
for
the
electronic
benefits
transfer
program

used
to
provide
food
assistance
program
cash
assistance
5
shall
provide
that
if
the
card
or
other
benefit
transfer
6
instrument
may
be
used
by
more
than
one
member
of
a
family
or
7
household,
the
card
or
other
instrument
shall
bear
the
name
8
of
each
user.
In
addition,
an
individual
using
the
card
or
9
other
instrument
to
access
benefits
shall
be
required
to
show
10
photo
identification
matching
the
name
on
the
card
or
other
11
instrument.

inclusion

does

constitute
agreement
with

the
members

general

This
bill
relates
to
identification
requirements
for

recipients
of
the
federal
food
assistance
program
through
the

electronic
benefits
transfer
program.

Code
section
234.12A,
relating
to
the
electronic
benefits

transfer
program
maintained
by
the
department
of
human
services
20
for
the
food
assistance
program,
is
amended.
The
bill
provides
21
that
if
a
card
or
other
benefit
transfer
instrument
under
the
22
program
may
be
used
by
more
than
one
member
of
a
family
or
23
household,
the
card
or
other
instrument
is
required
to
bear
24
the
name
of
each
user.
In
addition,
an
individual
using
the
25
card
or
instrument
to
access
benefits
is
required
to
show
26
photo
identification
matching
the
name
on
the
card
or
other
27
instrument.
