amended
to
read
as
follows:

23.
To
require
licensees
to
establish
a
process
to
allow

person
to
be
voluntarily
excluded
for
life
from
a
racetrack

enclosure
and
all
other
licensed
facilities
under
this
chapter
5
and
chapter
99F
as
provided
in
this
subsection.
The
process

shall
provide
that
an
initial
request
by
a
person
to
be
7
voluntarily
excluded
shall
be
for
a
period
of
five
years
and
8
a
subsequent
request
following
the
five-year
period
shall
be
9
for
life
.
The
process
established
shall
also
require
that
a
10
licensee
disseminate
information
regarding
persons
voluntarily
11
excluded
to
all
licensees
under
this
chapter
and
chapter
99F
.
12
The
state
and
any
licensee
under
this
chapter
or
chapter
99F
13
shall
not
be
liable
to
any
person
for
any
claim
which
may
arise
14
from
this
process.
In
addition
to
any
other
penalty
provided
15
by
law,
any
money
or
thing
of
value
that
has
been
obtained
by,
16
or
is
owed
to,
a
voluntarily
excluded
person
by
a
licensee
as
a
17
result
of
wagers
made
by
the
person
after
the
person
has
been
18
voluntarily
excluded
shall
not
be
paid
to
the
person
but
shall
19
be
credited
to
the
general
fund
of
the
state
and
transferred
to
20
the
department
of
public
health
for
purposes
of
the
gambling
21
treatment
program
established
in
section
135.150
.

is
amended

read

EXPLANATION

This
bill
concerns
the
process
by
which
a
person
can
be

voluntarily
excluded
from
a
racetrack
enclosure
under
Code
12
chapter
99D
and
from
an
excursion
gambling
boat
and
all
other
13
licensed
facilities
under
Code
chapter
99F.

The
bill
provides
that
an
initial
request
to
be
voluntarily
15
excluded
shall
be
for
a
period
of
five
years
and
a
subsequent
16
request
by
that
person
after
the
five-year
period
shall
be
for
17
life.
Under
current
law,
a
request
to
be
voluntarily
excluded
18
is
for
life.
19
The
bill
also
provides
that
any
moneys
won
by
a
person
20
voluntarily
excluded
that
are
forfeited
and
credited
to
the
21
general
fund
shall
be
transferred
to
the
department
of
public
22
health
for
purposes
of
the
gambling
treatment
program.
