nurses,
licensed

physical
therapists,

care
practitioners,

Respiratory
care
may
be
provided
during
transportation
of
a

patient
and
under
circumstances
where
an
emergency
necessitates

respiratory
care.

EXPLANATION
18
Respiratory
care
is
a
licensed
profession
that,
under
19
current
law,
must
be
prescribed
by
a
licensed
physician
or
20
surgeon.
This
bill
allows
licensed
physician
assistants
and
21
licensed
advanced
registered
nurse
practitioners
to
prescribe
22
respiratory
care.
