S.F. _____ Section 1. Section 282.12, subsection 2, Code 2011, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 2. For one-way sharing, the sending district shall pay no 3 less than one-half a percentage of the district cost per pupil 4 of the sending district that is proportionate to the percentage 5 of the pupil’s school day during which the pupil attends 6 classes in the receiving district minus any actual costs 7 incurred by the sending district including but not limited to 8 transportation and administration costs, if such costs are 9 specified in the agreement . 10 EXPLANATION 11 Current Code section 282.12 requires a sending district in a 12 one-way whole grade sharing agreement to pay to the receiving 13 district not less than one-half of the sending district’s 14 cost per pupil. This bill requires a sending district in a 15 one-way whole grade sharing agreement to pay a percentage of 16 the sending district’s cost per pupil that is proportionate 17 to the percentage of the pupil’s school day during which the 18 pupil attends classes in the receiving district minus any 19 actual costs incurred by the sending district including but not 20 limited to transportation and administration costs, if such 21 costs are specified in the agreement. 22 -1- LSB 2309XC (1) 84 md/sc 1/ 1
