Section 272.2, subsection 14, paragraph b, 1 subparagraph (1), unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 2011, is amended 2 to read as follows: 3 The person entered a plea of guilty to, or has been found 4 guilty of, any of the following offenses established pursuant 5 to Iowa law or offenses of a similar nature established under 6 the laws of any other state or of the United States, or any 7 other country , whether or not a sentence is imposed: 8 Sec. 2. Section 272.2, subsection 14, paragraph b, 9 subparagraph (1), Code 2011, is amended by adding the following 10 new subparagraph divisions: 11 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (0c) Enticing a minor under 12 section 710.10. 13 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (00c) Human trafficking under 14 section 710A.2. 15 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (f) Any offense specified in 16 the laws of another jurisdiction, or any offense that may be 17 prosecuted in federal, military, or foreign court, that is 18 comparable to an offense listed in this subparagraph (1). 19 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (g) Any offense under prior 20 laws of this state or another jurisdiction, or any offense 21 under prior law that was prosecuted in a federal, military, or 22 foreign court, that is comparable to an offense listed in this 23 subparagraph (1). 24 EXPLANATION 25 This bill adds to the grounds for which the board of 26 educational examiners is required to disqualify an applicant 27 for a license or to revoke the license of a person. The new 28 grounds include enticing a minor; human trafficking; or any 29 offense specified in the laws of another jurisdiction, any 30 offense under prior laws of this state or another jurisdiction, 31 or any offense, or prior offense, that may be or was prosecuted 32 in federal, military, or foreign court, that is comparable 33 to an offense listed as grounds for disqualification or 34 revocation. 35 -1- LSB 1331DP (4) 84 kh/nh 1/ 2
