Senate Resolution 119 - Introduced SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 119 BY COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION A Resolution thanking Senator Robert Bacon for his 1 service in the Iowa Senate. 2 WHEREAS, Chicago native Robert Bacon has called Iowa 3 home since 1975, coming to the Senate in 2011 having 4 previously served on the city councils of Fremont and 5 Maxwell; and 6 WHEREAS, Senator Bacon currently represents District 7 5, which includes all or portions of Hamilton, Story, 8 Webster, and Wright counties, and is retiring from the 9 Senate to seek another elective office; and 10 WHEREAS, currently Senator Bacon serves on the 11 Economic Growth/Rebuild Iowa, Human Resources, 12 Local Government, and Veterans Affairs Committees, 13 and is also a member of Health and Human Services 14 Appropriations Subcommittee; and 15 WHEREAS, a hallmark of his legislative service has 16 been his dedication to fiscal issues; and 17 WHEREAS, in addition, Senator Bacon also serves on 18 the Commission on Tobacco Use Prevention and Control 19 and State Child Care Advisory Council; NOW THEREFORE, 20 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate thanks 21 Senator Robert Bacon for his service in the Iowa 22 Senate. 23 -1- LSB 6130SV (2) 84 jr/rj 1/ 1
