S.F. 80 Section 1. Section 483A.24, Code 2011, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 7A. A resident of the state under sixteen 3 years of age is not required to have a fur harvester license 4 to accompany the minor’s parent or guardian, or any other 5 competent adult with the consent of the minor’s parent or 6 guardian, while the parent or guardian or other adult is 7 hunting raccoons so long as the minor is not hunting and does 8 not carry or use a firearm or any other weapon. 9 EXPLANATION 10 This bill allows a resident of this state who is under 16 11 years of age to accompany the minor’s parent or guardian, or 12 any other competent adult with the consent of the minor’s 13 parent or guardian, while that person is hunting raccoons 14 without obtaining a fur harvester license so long as the minor 15 does not hunt or carry a firearm or weapon of any kind. 16 -1- LSB 1896XS (2) 84 av/nh 1/ 1
