S.F. 127 Section 1. CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE FRAIL ELDERLY 1 —— APPROPRIATION. There is appropriated from the general fund 2 of the state to the department on aging for the fiscal year 3 beginning July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012, the following 4 amount or so much thereof as is necessary to be used for the 5 purpose designated: 6 For the case management program for the frail elderly: 7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 2,700,000 8 The department on aging shall utilize the funding 9 appropriated to meet the needs of frail elders identified by 10 the most recent case management for the frail elderly unmet 11 needs report including but not limited to adult daycare, 12 assisted transportation, caregiver support, case management, 13 chore services, congregate meals, counseling, emergency 14 response system, home repair, home delivered meals, homemaker 15 services, legal assistance, mental health outreach, personal 16 care, preventive health promotion, respite, transportation, and 17 visiting. 18 EXPLANATION 19 This bill appropriates funds to the department on aging 20 for the case management program for the frail elderly to meet 21 the needs of frail elders identified in the most recent frail 22 elderly unmet needs report. 23 -1- LSB 1992XS (9) 84 pf/nh 1/ 1
