H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 135.63, subsection 2, Code 2011, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . q. An outpatient surgical facility. 3 EXPLANATION 4 This bill exempts ambulatory surgical centers from the 5 certificate of need requirements. Ambulatory surgery centers 6 are generally medical facilities that specialize in elective 7 same-day or outpatient surgical procedures.
