H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 35A.13, subsection 3, Code Supplement 1 2011, is amended to read as follows: 2 3. Moneys credited to the trust fund shall not be 3 transferred, used, obligated, appropriated, or otherwise 4 encumbered, except as provided in this section . Moneys in the 5 trust fund may be used for cash flow purposes during a fiscal 6 year provided that any moneys so allocated are returned to the 7 trust fund by the end of that fiscal year. Moneys in the trust 8 fund may also be used for cemetery grant development purposes 9 during a fiscal year provided that any moneys so allocated 10 are returned to the trust fund upon receipt of federal funds 11 received for such purposes. 12 EXPLANATION 13 This bill permits the commission of veterans affairs 14 to allocate and use moneys in the veterans trust fund for 15 cemetery grant development purposes, provided that such moneys 16 eventually be returned to the trust fund upon receipt of 17 federal funds received for such cemetery development purposes. 18 -1- LSB 6060HC (1) 84 aw/sc 1/ 1
