H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 249A.4B, subsection 2, paragraph a, 1 Code Supplement 2011, is amended by adding the following new 2 subparagraphs: 3 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (41) The Iowa dietetic association. 4 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (42) The Iowa behavioral health 5 association. 6 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (43) The midwest association for medical 7 equipment services or an affiliated Iowa organization. 8 EXPLANATION 9 This bill adds a representative of the Iowa dietetic 10 association, the Iowa behavioral health association, and the 11 midwest association for medical equipment services to the 12 membership of the medical assistance advisory council. The 13 medical assistance advisory council was created to comply with 14 federal law to advise the director of the department of human 15 services about health and medical care services under the 16 medical assistance program. The council is authorized to meet 17 no more than quarterly. An executive committee of the council 18 comprised of 11 members is authorized to meet monthly. 19 -1- LSB 6007YC (1) 84 ad/nh 1/ 1
