NEW SECTION . 476.6A Alternative energy 1 production facilities —— notification requirements. 2 No later than thirty days prior to commencement of the 3 construction or installation of an alternative energy 4 production facility, as defined in section 476.42, the owner 5 of the facility shall provide written notice to the electric 6 public utility within whose service territory the facility 7 is located of the owner’s intent to construct or install the 8 facility, the type of facility to be constructed or installed, 9 and the date that the facility is anticipated to commence 10 operation. 11 EXPLANATION 12 This bill requires the owner of an alternative energy 13 production facility, as defined in Code section 476.42, 14 to provide written notice no later than 30 days prior to 15 commencement of the construction or installation of the 16 facility to the electric public utility within whose service 17 territory the facility is located.
