Section 303.17, Code 2011, is repealed. 1 EXPLANATION 2 This bill strikes Code section 303.17, which establishes the 3 Iowa studies professional development plan to further the study 4 of Iowa's history and government in schools, as well as an Iowa 5 studies committee to oversee the plan. Code section 303.17 6 provides that the plan and the committee are to be established 7 by the department of cultural affairs.
