thousand

dollars
or
less
in
the
preceding
tax
year.

b.
Women,
persons
with
disabilities,
and
minority
persons.

c.
Persons
age
sixty-five
and
older.
33
d.
Persons
convicted
of
a
crime
who
are
reentering
society
34
after
being
released
from
incarceration.

A
community
college
may
enter
into
an
agreement
with
a

disadvantaged
worker
to
establish
a
project
pursuant
to
this

section.

A
disadvantaged
worker
agreement
shall
provide
for
the

furnishing
of
program
services
to
disadvantaged
workers.

EXPLANATION
8
This
bill
relates
to
agreements
between
employers
and
9
community
colleges
concerning
disadvantaged
workers
under
the
10
industrial
new
jobs
training
program
in
Code
chapter
260E.
11
Currently,
agreements
under
the
program
are
entered
into
12
between
community
colleges
and
employers.
The
bill
provides
a
13
framework
for
such
agreements
for
the
purposes
of
qualifying
14
certain
disadvantaged
workers
for
employment
with
employers.
15
The
bill
does
not
provide
a
source
of
funding
for
training
16
program
costs
under
such
agreements.
