Section
1.
Section
272.8,
Code
2011,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
4.
a.
An
applicant
who,
prior
to
May
3
1,
2009,
enrolled
in
an
administrator
preparation
program
4
offered
by
a
regionally
accredited
out-of-state
institution
5
or
an
out-of-state
institution
approved
by
the
board
in
6
accordance
with
subsection
3,
and
who
completes
the
program
7
prior
to
December
15,
2011,
shall
be
eligible
for
licensure
8
notwithstanding
the
out-of-state
licensure
and
certification
9
requirements
of
282
IAC
18.6(1)(c).

b.
The
board
shall
notify
all
persons
who
meet
the
11
requirements
of
paragraph
“a”
and
who
apply
for
an
administrator
12
license
between
May
1,
2009,
and
December
31,
2011,
of
their
13
limited
eligibility
for
licensure
and
of
the
application
14
deadline
provided
under
this
subsection,
and
shall
post
such
15
notification
on
its
website.

c.
This
subsection
is
repealed
July
1,
2012.

EXPLANATION
18
This
bill
provides
that
a
person
who
enrolled
in
an
19
administrator
preparation
program,
offered
by
a
regionally
20
accredited
out-of-state
institution
or
an
approved
out-of-state
21
institution
prior
to
May
1,
2009,
and
who
completes
the
program
22
prior
to
December
15,
2011,
is
eligible
to
be
licensed
by
the
23
board
of
educational
examiners
notwithstanding
the
out-of-state
24
licensure
and
certification
requirements
of
administrative
rule

18.6(1)(c).
The
bill
also
requires
the
board
to
notify
26
eligible
applicants
who
apply
for
an
administrator
license
27
between
May
1,
2009,
and
December
31,
2011,
of
their
limited
28
eligibility
for
licensure
and
of
the
application
deadline.
The
29
board
must
post
the
notification
on
its
website.

The
Code
provision
created
by
the
bill
is
repealed
July
1,
31
2012.
