H.F. 520 Section 1. Section 724.4B, subsection 2, Code 2011, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . c. A private investigator or a private 3 security officer who possesses a valid license pursuant to 4 chapter 80A, while engaged in the performance of official 5 duties. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill relates to the carrying of weapons on school 8 grounds by licensed private investigators and licensed private 9 security officers. 10 The bill authorizes a private investigator or a private 11 security officer who possesses a valid license pursuant to 12 Code chapter 80A, while engaged in the performance of official 13 duties, to carry a firearm on school grounds pursuant to Code 14 section 724.4B. 15 -1- LSB 2083HV (2) 84 rh/rj 1/ 1
