Section
1.
Section
135L.3,
Code
2011,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION

A
court
that
grants
a
waiver
under
this

section
shall
report
the
total
number
of
waivers
granted
to
the
4
department
of
public
health
on
an
annual
basis.
The
supreme
5
court
shall
prescribe
rules
regarding
such
reporting
by
the
6
court.

144.29A,
subsection
1,
Code
2011,
is
amended

by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

patient
was
granted
a
waiver

under
section

EXPLANATION
12
This
bill
requires
a
juvenile
court
that
grants
a
waiver
from
13
the
abortion
notification
requirements
for
pregnant
minors
to
14
report
the
total
number
of
waivers
granted
to
the
department
of
15
public
health
on
an
annual
basis.
The
bill
directs
the
supreme
16
court
to
prescribe
rules
regarding
the
reporting.
The
bill
17
also
requires
a
health
care
provider
who
submits
a
termination
18
of
pregnancy
report
to
the
department
of
public
health
to
19
include
in
the
report
whether
the
patient
was
granted
a
waiver.
