H.F. 341 Section 1. Section 455B.104, subsection 4, Code 2011, is 1 amended by striking the subsection. 2 Sec. 2. REPEAL. Section 455B.851, Code 2011, is repealed. 3 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT. This Act, being deemed of 4 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 5 EXPLANATION 6 This bill changes the date on which Code section 455B.851, 7 establishing the Iowa climate change advisory council, 8 is repealed from the current date of July 1, 2011, to the 9 effective date of this bill. The bill also deletes a provision 10 which requires the department of natural resources to submit by 11 December 31 annually a report to the governor and the general 12 assembly regarding greenhouse gas emissions in the state during 13 the previous calendar year and forecasting trends in such 14 emissions. 15 The bill takes effect upon enactment, which results in an 16 earlier repeal date for the council than currently specified. 17 -1- LSB 1634HV (1) 84 rn/nh 1/ 1
