H.F. 274 Section 1. Section 142D.3, subsection 2, Code 2011, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . f. Within one hundred feet of any entrance 3 to an organized outpatient health facility or outpatient 4 surgical facility as defined in section 135.61, a hospital as 5 defined in section 135B.1, or a long-term care facility. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill prohibits smoking within 100 feet of any entrance 8 to an organized outpatient health facility or outpatient 9 surgical facility, a hospital, or a long-term care facility. 10 Existing penalties which include monetary penalties, penalties 11 applicable to a public nuisance, and license sanctions apply to 12 violations of the bill. 13 -1- LSB 2320YH (2) 84 pf/rj 1/ 1
