1.
Section
249A.20A,
subsection
2,
Code
2011,
is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

PARAGRAPH
.
d.
A
member
of
the
committee
shall
disclose

to
the
department,
in
a
format
and
in
accordance
with
a
4
schedule
prescribed
by
rule
of
the
department,
any
financial
5
relationship
or
affiliation
with
a
pharmaceutical
manufacturer
6
including
but
not
limited
to
any
payments
or
contributions
for
7
lectures,
consulting,
research,
or
other
services.

Section
249A.24,
Code
2011,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
4.
A
member
of
the
commission
shall
11
disclose
to
the
department,
in
a
format
and
in
accordance
with
12
a
schedule
prescribed
by
rule
of
the
department,
any
financial
13
relationship
or
affiliation
with
a
pharmaceutical
manufacturer
14
including
but
not
limited
to
any
payments
or
contributions
for
15
lectures,
consulting,
research,
or
other
services.

EXPLANATION
17
This
bill
requires
a
member
of
the
medical
assistance
18
pharmaceutical
and
therapeutics
committee
or
a
member
of
the
19
medical
assistance
drug
utilization
review
commission
to
20
disclose
to
the
department
of
human
services
any
financial
21
relationship
or
affiliation
with
a
pharmaceutical
manufacturer
22
including
but
not
limited
to
any
payments
or
contributions
for
23
lectures,
consulting,
research,
or
other
services.
The
members
24
are
to
disclose
the
information
in
a
format
and
in
accordance
25
with
a
schedule
prescribed
by
rule
of
the
department
of
human
26
services.
