H.F. 2147 Section 1. Section 724.4B, subsection 2, Code 2011, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . c. A private investigator or a private 3 security officer who possesses both a valid license pursuant to 4 chapter 80A and a professional permit to carry weapons pursuant 5 to section 724.6, while engaged in the performance of official 6 duties. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill relates to the carrying of weapons on school 9 grounds by licensed private investigators and licensed private 10 security officers. 11 The bill authorizes a private investigator or a private 12 security officer who possesses both a valid license pursuant 13 to Code chapter 80A and a professional permit to carry 14 weapons pursuant to Code section 724.6, while engaged in the 15 performance of official duties, to carry a firearm on school 16 grounds pursuant to Code section 724.4B. 17 -1- LSB 2083HZ (2) 84 rh/rj 1/ 1
