H.F. 2079 Section 1. ELECTRONIC RETENTION OF NAMES OF EMPLOYERS OF 1 MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAID AND IOWACARE PROGRAMS —— SUBMISSION OF 2 LISTING TO GENERAL ASSEMBLY. The department of human services 3 shall modify the automated benefits calculations system to 4 enable retention of the name of the employer, as the employer 5 is identified on the program application form, of each member 6 of the IowaCare program under chapter 249J or recipient of 7 the medical assistance program as defined in section 249A.2. 8 The department shall annually compile a listing identifying 9 the employers with an aggregate statewide total of fifty or 10 more employees who are members or recipients of either program 11 and stating the actual number of such employees per employer 12 identified, and shall submit the listing to the general 13 assembly on or before January 15. 14 EXPLANATION 15 This bill directs the department of human services (DHS) to 16 modify the automated benefits calculations system to retain 17 the names of employers of each member of the IowaCare program 18 and each recipient of medical assistance (Medicaid). DHS is 19 then required to annually compile and submit to the general 20 assembly, on or before January 15, a listing of the employers 21 with an aggregate statewide total of 50 or more employees who 22 are members or recipients of either program, stating the actual 23 number of such employees per employer identified. 24 -1- LSB 5439YH (4) 84 pf/nh 1/ 1
