1.
IOWA
FAMILY
PLANNING
NETWORK
WAIVER
RENEWAL.
The
1
department
of
human
services
shall
amend
the
medical
assistance
2
waiver
for
the
Iowa
family
planning
network
to
continue
the
3
current
waiver
with
the
following
modifications
which
provide
4
for
all
of
the
following:
5
1.
Coverage
for
women
who
meet
all
of
the
following
6
criteria:
7
a.
Are
uninsured
or
have
health
insurance
coverage
that
8
does
not
include
coverage
for
benefits
provided
under
the
Iowa
9
family
planning
network.
10
b.
Have
income
of
up
to
300
percent
of
the
federal
poverty
11
level.

c.
Are
under
55
years
of
age.

Coverage
of
pregnancy
prevention
services
for
men
who
14
meet
the
income,
age,
and
insurance
coverage
specifications
15
described
in
subsection
1.

EXPLANATION
17
This
bill
directs
the
department
of
human
services
(DHS)
to
18
renew
the
Iowa
family
planning
network
waiver
due
for
renewal
19
in
2011,
which
currently
provides
family
planning
services
20
to
women
through
44
years
of
age,
who
have
incomes
up
to
200
21
percent
of
the
federal
poverty
level,
and
who
do
not
have
22
private
insurance
unless
they
require
confidential
services
or
23
are
not
already
enrolled
in
the
Medicaid
program,
IowaCare,
or
24
hawk-i.
The
bill
directs
DHS
to
amend
the
waiver
to
continue
25
the
current
waiver
with
modifications
that
allow
for
coverage
26
for
women
through
54
years
of
age,
with
incomes
up
to
300
27
percent
of
the
federal
poverty
level,
and
who
are
uninsured,
28
or
if
they
are
insured,
have
benefits
that
do
not
include
29
coverage
for
the
benefits
provided
under
the
Iowa
family
30
planning
network.
The
amendment
would
also
request
coverage
of
31
pregnancy
prevention
services
for
men
who
meet
the
same
income,
32
age,
and
insurance
coverage
specifications
as
women.
