S.F. _____ H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 905.14, subsection 1, Code 2009, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 1. A person placed on probation or parole and subject to 3 supervision by a district department shall be required to pay 4 an enrollment fee of three six hundred dollars to the district 5 department to offset the costs of supervision. In addition 6 to the enrollment fee, the district department may require a 7 person to pay a fee to the district department to offset the 8 costs of providing sex offender programming to that person. 9 EXPLANATION 10 This bill relates to the enrollment fee for persons placed 11 on probation or parole. 12 The bill increases the enrollment fee from $300 to $600. 13 The fee is payable to the district department of correctional 14 services to offset the costs of supervision.
