Senate Resolution 110 - Introduced SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 110 BY COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION A Resolution to thank Senator Steve Warnstadt, on the 1 occasion of his retirement from the Iowa Senate, for 2 sixteen years of legislative service. 3 WHEREAS, in 2002 Senator Steve Warnstadt was elected 4 to the Senate after serving four terms in the House of 5 Representatives, and in his first year in the Senate 6 served as Ranking Member of the Commerce Committee 7 and as a member of the Committees on Appropriations 8 and Transportation, and on the Transportation, 9 Infrastructure, and Capitals Appropriations 10 Subcommittee; and 11 WHEREAS, over the past eight years, Senator 12 Warnstadt also has served as the Chair of the Commerce 13 Committee, Co-chair of both the Judiciary Committee 14 and the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals 15 Appropriations Subcommittee, and Vice Chair of the 16 Veterans Affairs Committee; and 17 WHEREAS, himself a veteran, Senator Warnstadt has 18 championed the rights of veterans, active duty service 19 members, and their families; NOW THEREFORE, 20 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate thanks 21 Senator Warnstadt for his service in the Senate and in 22 the House of Representatives; and 23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Secretary of the 24 Senate is directed to prepare an official copy of this 25 Resolution for presentation to Senator Warnstadt. 26 -1- LSB 6269SV (7) 83 jr/rj 1/ 1
