NEW SECTION . 562.5A Farm tenancy —— right to 1 take part of a harvested crop’s aboveground plant. 2 Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by a lessor and farm 3 tenant, a farm tenant may take any part of the aboveground 4 part of a plant associated with a crop, at the time of harvest 5 or after the harvest, until the farm tenancy terminates as 6 provided in this chapter. 7 EXPLANATION 8 This bill provides that a farm tenant may take any part of 9 the aboveground part of a harvested crop (e.g., stover) until 10 the farm tenancy terminates, unless the parties to the lease 11 provide otherwise in writing. 12 -1- LSB 2051SV (2) 83 da/nh 1/ 1
