S.F. 2315 contrary, the maximum gross weight allowed to be carried on a 1 noninterstate highway by a livestock vehicle with five axles, a 2 minimum distance in feet between the centers of the first and 3 fifth axles of sixty-one feet, and a minimum distance between 4 the two rear axles of at least eight feet and one inch is 5 eighty-six thousand pounds. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill provides weight limitations for vehicles carrying 8 grain, fertilizer, agricultural lime, or agricultural chemicals 9 that currently apply to livestock and construction vehicles. 10 The new weight limitations apply to vehicles with six or seven 11 axles traveling on noninterstate highways. 12 For purposes of the bill, “grain” means any grain for which 13 the United States department of agriculture has established 14 standards, including soybeans. 15 -2- LSB 6173SV (2) 83 dea/nh 2/ 2
