amended
to
read
as
follows:

c.
(1)
Upon
written
application
on
forms
furnished
by
the
3
department,
the
department
shall
issue
annually
without
fee
two
4
deer
hunting
licenses,
one
antlered
or
any
sex
deer
hunting
5
license
and
one
antlerless
deer
only
deer
hunting
license,
to
6
the
owner
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
the
owner’s
family,
7
but
only
a
total
of
two
licenses
for
both,
and
to
the
tenant
8
of
a
farm
unit
or
a
member
of
the
tenant’s
family,
but
only
9
a
total
of
two
licenses
for
both.
The
deer
hunting
licenses
10
issued
shall
be
valid
only
for
use
on
the
farm
unit
for
which
11
the
applicant
applies
pursuant
to
this
paragraph
subparagraph
.

The
owner
or
the
tenant
need
not
reside
on
the
farm
unit
to
13
qualify
for
the
free
deer
hunting
licenses
to
hunt
on
that
14
farm
unit.
The
free
deer
hunting
licenses
issued
pursuant
to
15
this
paragraph
subparagraph
shall
be
valid
and
may
be
used
16
during
any
shotgun
deer
season.
The
licenses
may
be
used
to
17
harvest
deer
in
two
different
seasons.
In
addition,
a
person
18
who
receives
a
free
deer
hunting
license
pursuant
to
this
19
paragraph
subparagraph
shall
pay
a
one
dollar
fee
for
each
20
license
that
shall
be
used
and
is
appropriated
for
the
purpose
21
of
deer
herd
population
management,
including
assisting
with
22
the
cost
of
processing
deer
donated
to
the
help
us
stop
hunger
23
program
administered
by
the
commission.

(2)
In
addition
to
the
deer
hunting
licenses
issued
25
without
fee
under
subparagraph
(1),
upon
written
application
26
on
forms
furnished
by
the
department,
the
department
shall
27
issue
annually
without
fee
one
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
for
28
the
first
forty
acres
of
a
farm
unit
and
one
antlerless
deer
29
hunting
license
for
each
additional
forty
acres
of
the
farm
30
unit
to
the
owner
or
tenant
of
the
farm
unit.
The
deer
hunting
31
licenses
issued
shall
be
valid
only
for
use
on
the
farm
unit
32
for
which
the
applicant
applies
pursuant
to
this
subparagraph.

The
owner
or
the
tenant
need
not

on
the
farm
unit
to

qualify
for
the
free
deer
hunting
licenses.

license

EXPLANATION
14
This
bill
relates
to
the
issuance
of
additional
free
deer
15
hunting
licenses
to
owners
and
tenants
of
farm
units.
16
The
bill
requires
the
department
of
natural
resources
to
17
issue
annually
one
free
any
sex
deer
hunting
license
to
an
18
owner
or
tenant
of
a
farm
unit
for
the
first
40
acres
of
the
19
farm
unit
and
one
anterless
deer
hunting
license
for
each
20
additional
40
acres
of
the
farm
unit.
The
licenses
are
valid
21
only
for
use
on
the
farm
unit,
are
valid
and
may
be
used
during
22
any
shotgun
deer
season
or
in
two
different
seasons.
The
23
licenses
are
transferable
and
may
be
given
or
sold
by
the
24
owner
or
tenant,
without
prior
notice
to
the
department,
to
25
a
resident
or
nonresident
hunter
who
is
otherwise
qualified
26
to
hunt
deer
in
this
state.
A
person
who
receives
the
free
27
license
must
pay
the
$1
fee
that
assists
with
processing
