APPROPRIATION

PROGRAM.
There
is
appropriated
from
the

general
fund
of
the
state
to
the
department
on
aging
for
the

fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2010,
and
ending
June
30,
2011,

the
following
amount,
or
so
much
thereof
as
is
necessary,
to
be

used
for
the
purpose
designated:

purpose
of
statewide
expansion
of
the
elder
abuse

initiative
program
established
pursuant
to
section
231.56A

prevention,
intervention,
detection,
and
reporting
of

elder
abuse,
neglect,
and
exploitation
to

the

individuals
in
the

who

EXPLANATION

This
bill
appropriates
$1.4
million
from
the
general
fund

of
the
state
to
the
department
on
aging
for
the
fiscal
year

beginning
July
1,
2010,
and
ending
June
30,
2011,
for
statewide

expansion
of
the
elder
abuse
initiative
program
established

pursuant
to
Code
section
231.56A
for
the
