adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

Providing
for
augmentation
of
the

mental
and
behavioral
health
benefits
available
under
the

federal
government’s
civilian
health
care
plan
for
military
5
personnel
and
dependents
so
that
dependent
children
covered
6
under
such
plans
who
reside
in
this
state
are
eligible
to
7
receive
counseling
free
of
charge
for
the
period
beginning
upon
8
receipt
of
federal
service
active
duty
mobilization
orders
by
9
the
military
personnel
and
ending
one
year
after
the
date
the
10
mobilization
was
completed.

EXPLANATION
12
This
bill
provides
for
counseling
to
be
available
free
of
13
charge
for
the
dependent
children
of
certain
military
personnel
14
with
federal
service
active
duty
mobilization
orders.
The
15
requirement
is
inserted
as
one
of
the
desired
outcomes
for
the
16
comprehensive
community-based
mental
health
services
system
17
for
children
under
Code
section
225C.52.
The
requirement
is
18
for
augmentation
of
the
mental
and
behavioral
health
benefits
19
available
under
the
federal
government’s
civilian
health
20
care
plan
for
military
personnel
and
dependents
in
order
for
21
the
counseling
to
be
available
to
the
personnel’s
dependent
22
children
residing
in
this
state
for
a
specified
period.
The
23
specified
period
begins
upon
receipt
of
federal
service
active
24
duty
mobilization
orders
by
the
military
personnel
and
ends
one
25
year
after
the
date
the
mobilization
was
completed.
