S.F. 2012 Section 1. Section 96.40, subsection 2, paragraph i, Code 1 Supplement 2009, is amended to read as follows: 2 i. The duration of the shared work plan will not 3 exceed fifty-two one hundred four weeks. An employing 4 unit is eligible for approval of only one plan during a 5 twenty-four-month period. 6 EXPLANATION 7 This bill extends the voluntary shared unemployment 8 compensation work program from 52 weeks to 104 weeks. In this 9 unemployment compensation program, an individual is entitled 10 to a percentage of the work benefit amount equal to the 11 individual’s reduction in hours worked due to the shared work 12 plan. 13 -1- LSB 5132SS (3) 83 ak/rj 1/ 1
