NEW SECTION . 313.30 Primary road construction 1 —— notice to school districts. 2 The department shall notify a school district prior to the 3 commencement of a project for the construction, reconstruction, 4 improvement, or maintenance of an area of a primary road 5 located within the boundaries of the school district. Notice 6 may be provided by electronic mail, by forwarding a copy of 7 a press release regarding the upcoming project to the school 8 district, or by any other means agreed to by the department and 9 the school district. 10 EXPLANATION 11 This bill requires the department of transportation 12 to notify a school district prior to commencing a road 13 construction or maintenance project on an area of a primary 14 road within the school district.
