H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 257.11, subsection 8, Code Supplement 1 2009, is amended to read as follows: 2 8. Pupils ineligible. A pupil eligible for the weighting 3 plan provided in section 256B.9 is not eligible for 4 supplementary weighting pursuant to this section , except 5 for participation in programs under chapter 261E . A pupil 6 attending an alternative program or an at-risk pupils’ program, 7 including alternative high school programs, is not eligible for 8 supplementary weighting under subsection 2. 9 EXPLANATION 10 This bill allows pupils who qualify for special education 11 supplementary weighting provided in Code section 256B.9 to also 12 qualify for supplementary weighting that may be provided by 13 programs in Code chapter 261E, the senior year plus program. 14 -1- LSB 5117HC (1) 83 ak/sc 1/ 1
